When I was 20 I was looking to purchase a car and wanted to test drive a BMW. There was no dealer in Syracuse NY and the nearest options were in Utica? or Honeoye Falls, which was my choice as I was interested in a girl from Palmyra. One day I showed up at Kling Sales and Service in Honeoye Falls located at 4 Ontario St. The owner was Willis B. Kling and it was a converted corner gas station straight out of the 1930's(?) complete with two islands of long dormant pumps with glass globes at the top that said "GAS". Several "Old" BMW's awaiting service and several new ones for sale. I walked in and asked if I could take a test drive and Mr. Kling, in a lovely German accent simply replied" Ya, the blue tii parked at the curb, don't over-rev it in the lower gears" and nodded out the front window toward the street. The test drive was incredible and the rest is history. Several weeks later I was happily driving home in a '72 2002, Agave with tan interior for which I paid just over $4,000 and foolishly parted with 18 years later for $2000. There were no cell phones back then and I have no pictures of that lovely little dealership or any knowledge of it's subsequent history or whether the Kling family is still involved with BMW. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Mike Mixer
