Both a new member and really old member in several ways. Was a member way back probably in the later 70s for a long time. First intro to BMW was parent bought a 73 2002. Grew up in Amherst, MA , good friend of Robby Seigels who I take credit for introducing to BMW as he had a Triumph GT6 which I used to trash talk him about as my first car was a 68 1600-2, which I dug out from under a snow bank and paid $175 for and was rotting but mechanical in great condition. Along with Charlie a mutual friend who had equally decrepit t 69 2002 we used to blast around Amherst breaking all sorts of traffic laws. Since then I owned about 13 variations of 2002s including tiis and a Touring. Sold my last tii in 2013. Along the way owned a 528e, horrible car, a 1999 528i Sport Wagon, a 2009 528, a parts car 1970 2800cs, a 1990 M3, and the fabulous 2000 M5 (which I traded the 528 sport wagon for and cash at a clandestine swap in an Iowa Target parking lot I was so sure I wanted one) So now I have an unusual 1975 520i I imported from Southern Italy which I planning to sell on Bring a Trailer to get my spousal unit to allow me to buy a BMW iX 40 or 50. Anyway that's my story.
