Hi all, just bought a lightly used 2011 335d which now sits next to my 1994 R1100RSL, so I now have six BMW treads on the garage floor. Here in far upstate California we have some of the world's most beautiful twisty roads (IMHO) and the crazy thing is, the 335d just might get better mpg's on them than the motorcycle... hmm, sounds like a research project which requires further study! How far north? The Golden Gate Chapter does a lot o' tours on them twisty lanes! Yes, the diesel gets amazing mileage, if you can ever get used to having just two pedals. . . .
