Has anybody used Vehiport to ship their car? Did it arrive safely? If it didn't arrive safely, did they take care of it quickly, correctly and without hassle? Would you use them again? Should I be using a different transport company (even if they are more expensive)?

There doesn't seem to be too much feedback online (other than the glowing reviews on their website). I'd like some independent verification before we ship the car.

I thought I'd post an update. We went ahead and used them. Through luck of the draw, they picked it up the day after we contracted with them. We paid extra to have the convertible shipped on the top. That is where they loaded it, but when it arrived, it was on the bottom underneath a leaking 7 Series!

We accepted the car and noted on the Bill of Lading the damage. We also left a message with Vehiport to report the damage. Our contact called us back at the end of that business day to let us know we'd need to file an insurance claim and they would follow up with us on Monday.

Although we have followed up with them, they still have not followed up with us. Meanwhile, we're afraid to try clean the grease/oil up ourselves for fear of making it worse.

Call Griot's and ask about if this stuff might work for you in your situation: http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/oil and grease cleaner, 35 ounces.do?sortby=ourPicks

This is for concrete, don't know if it could work on fabric or not:

    There's this stuff: http://www.superiorcarcare.net/303fabcontop1.html

One article from a brief check of google search of "how to remove oil from a convertible fabric top": http://www.autopia.org/forum/guide-detailing/80227-convertible-top-care.html

Hey guys, I just found out about this. While we do ask our carriers to ship all convertibles on top, we never charge extra for it! I work at vehiport and our system doesn't show any open claims or anything. I am not sure where the ball dropped on this as customer service is our number one priority even when accidents occur!
