Started using EZ Pass on the NY Thruway between PA and Syracuse and it doesn't seem to register when I go through the toll plazas. Spoke with EZ Pass reps and they tell me there is a special way of mounting the transponder on my 2006 530i which requires it to be mounted at the top of the windshield. If that doesn't work they suggest that I mount it on the license plates (gasp). Anyone have such a problem recently and are there other ways to get the thing to work. Please respond to my email, pcbeck13@msn.com, I don't get on this forum that often and I would appreciate any help.
Mounted EZ-Pass right next to the rearview mirror post and had no problem this weekend. It seems there is a 3" gap near the mirror where there is no shading so the transponder works. .
