I have a 2007 BMW 650i convertible. On the bottom of the front bumper there is a rubber strip that BMW calls a spoiler. Mine was pretty beat up so I decided to replace it. Looked simple , remove screws, slide off old spoiler slide on new spoiler replace screws. I cannot get the new spoiler on to save my soul.Ive tried to slide it on starting at one side and then the other, no luck. II tried to push it on from the bottom, no luck. Is there a trick to this that I don’t know? I have searched high and low on the internet but cannot find instructions anywhere.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks

The bumper strip has a metal clamp built into it. It is installed by pressing it onto the bumper. If the bumper is damaged this can make it difficult to put on and may require a mallet to install. You can also pry the metal clamp open further to install then clamp it back down to hold onto the bumper.
