Can anyone tell me how to reset my brake pad service light?

I went through the procedure to reset it and it mls went from -150 to -9000.

    Now what?

    Thank you in advance.

Did you replace the brakes? If so did you put a new sensor in with them?

I just bought the car and the brakes had just been done not sure if the sensor was replaced. I am guessing they were not since it will not reset.

Here's my understanding of how it's done.

Replace the brake pad wear sensors on ALL brakes that have been serviced. Make sure the brake pad wear sensors are properly connected and securely fastened.

Turn the key to the ON position -- don't start the car! Just leave the key in the on position for 3 to 5 minutes.

The brake pad light should go out by itself.

If it doesn't, you've got something else going on that your car doesn't agree with.
