i have a 2000 323i and would like to find out more about being able to set the features so the key will set different features like turning on day time running lights or locking doors at drive off ect. has anyone got any info about this. thanks in advance james
unfortunately on the E46 these functions can be progammed only by a dealer or shop that has a computer for this purpose. these are not user programmable functions.
I just did about an hour research on Carsoft. If you get one I'd like to know how it works for you. I've had Autoenginuity for years but I dont want to pay the extra for the BMW specific features.
Well, i've thought about getting the carsoft...actually ordered it but it never came due to backorder...so i canceled the order. I have read many good things about carsoft. I think when I get too sick and tired of these auto door locks, I will bear down and get carsoft!
