I have an '04 325 convert. with a malfunctioning top. The driver's side cover latch was not engaging, so I removed the seat, found the cables to be intact, and tightened the cables. Now the red dash light will not go out, the top will not go up, and the trunk will not open. All, seemingly, indicating a fault in the computer system operating the top. Do the computer codes have to be read/reset for the top to function?
Watching this with you, unfortunately I'm like Sgt. Schultz (I know nothing!). Hope you get an answer on it.
