My 1993 E35 (325i 4dr) has developed a "clunk" in the front of the car. The clunk happens when braking, as the suspension takes a "set", and there can be multiple clunks, or a single clunk, and varying in loudness. It can also happen when braking while going backwards. The noise is not really metallic, it's more "rubbery". The following has been replaced with no effect on the clunk. * lower ball joints (were getting loose) * struts (were leaking) * rubber mount for lower suspension arm (seemed a little soft, but not bad) Any ideas of where to continue looking? Thanks, Ole Portland, OR
