When checking my power steering fluid the other day, I noticed the black plastic hose (abt 3.5" in diameter) to the "air filter housing" has all but disintegrated. Does anyone know the correct name for this part along with tips on replacing ?? It appears to be a simple job. Advice appreciated.

    Thanks

    Thanks John,

Sorry for not being more specific. The car is a 1995 325is. It was an eBay purchase of six years ago that my two kids learned to drive, love, and become part of the BMW addiction. The website is very uselful in seaching for parts. I found the correct part which is a "rubber boot for Alternator cooling". I will order the part and install it as soon as it arrives.

    Thanks again.

    Joe
