I have a 2002 325i automatic (wifes car) with 65000 miles. As my wife has promised the car to my son when he graduates from college I would like to change the t-stat, radiator, water pump, and expansion tank, problem is the amount of transmission fluid being lost in the old radiator and having no AT dipstick to see how much to add. What are my options here.

The AT cooler is not part of the radiator. IIRC, you disconnect the trans cooler from the radiator and there are a couple of O rings that seal the water passages to the radiator. I don't think you will lose any. At this mileage, you should change your transmission fluid anyway. There is no such thing as lifetime fluid regardless of what BMW says. The lifetime they are speaking of is the limited life of your trans from not changing the fluid.
