I have an '01 525i and the DSC light came on one day and it doesn't work. I checked the manual and all it says is that the DSC has failed. Any ideas about the cause and solution, are there any fuses related to this or is it a dealer repair item?

You have to have the ABS system scanned in order to find out what is wrong. It could be the switch, a sensor, or the ABS control module. BTW, bad ABS control modules are a common problem and require you send yours to Module Masters or a similar rebuilder, or that you take it to a dealer or a local independent shop with an Autologic or GT1 scanner for repair and reprogramming.
