Once again, I own a 1991 325ic, automatic transmission. Has what has been diagnosed as a faulty drive shaft. I've owned the car since 2003. Had the drive shaft replaced 14 years ago, with a BMW factory drive shaft. Almost impossible to find a factory replacement, currently 'back ordered' from Germany. I figure I have two options for after market. One is the Powertrain/Dorman aftermarket exact fit replacement. The other is to have one fabricated by Driveshaft Specialist of San Antonio. Potential advantage of the Driveshaft Specialist is that they upgrade by fabricating with universal u-joints. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
