Finally supercharging my 97 M3. Just a couple of questions though, if anyone has done this themselves. Doesn't seem difficult at all. But the big question I have after reading the install, Why do you need to relocate the cruise control? Any way I figure since I don't have the "new" harness, I would just splice in some wire to make it longer, but would rather not as this seems a retarted. I guess if there's nothing else to make it fit, then so be it. other's expirience on this would be great.

    oh it's a Dinan kit

I installed the VF kit on my e36 M3 ealier this year which is a similiar set up. I did not need to extend my cruise control, I just moved it out of the way and used 2 washers, a bolt, and a nut to attach it to a bracket on the inside of the front fendor that if I recall correctly was use for the stock airbox. It sits perfect and looks like it came from the factory that way.

If you go to http://www.vf-engineering.com/ and look at the e36 m3 kit you can see the module sitting right next to the intake tube. I have never seen a Dinan kit in person but by the looks of the picture on dinancars.com it would sit right next to where the MAF is plugged in but I could be wrong. I do know there are plenty of places to mount it to that do not require extending the harness.
