I've asked this else where before, and have asked Mike Miller also. Has anyone got the differential oil change done on their E60? (either after breakin or after 30k or 50k).

I was informed that the E60 indeed has a drain plug.

I'd like to get it done at a reasonable price, but don't want to be the first.

    Thanks.

I'd like to know this as well. I'm going in this week to have the engine oil/filter changed after the break-in, and would also like the differential oil changed. The SA didn't seem interested in doing it.

Actually the E60 does not have a drain plug. But the fluid can still be removed from the fill port. I had it done at an independent shop found on BIMRS. Cost less than $70.

Diff and Manual Trans Oil change

What is recommended for the diff oil? I had a 1994 E34 5 speed and used Red Line in the tranny and diff with no problems.

I have 2005 530 with 6 speed manual. Anybody change the trany oil yet? Is this just as easy as my E34 was?

According to Mike Miller, use the Redline fluids.
