So: When I was in Memphis, Calabrese installed a Bavarian Soundwerks iPod converter system (DICE, whatever the hell that means) in the roadster, using a tiny Nano device. Once it was all hooked up and working, I took the Nano inside to synch it to my iTunes folder on my laptop. But that meant we had to reformat the Nano, since it was set up for Calabrese's Apple system. Mistake. On the road home, I discovered that the DICE unit no longer recognized the Nano, so as usual I survived on CDs; I could probably do the whole country on a continuous loop of "Blinded By The Light." (". . . but Momma, that's where the fun is!") Anyway, back home in Sandy Eggo, it wouldn't work with my iPod Touch, either. So Calabrese flew out to fix things. It took him approximately one minute to pull out the ashtray pod in the console, extract the DICE unit, and unplug it. This apparently deprives all the tiny elves of oxygen and clears the ions from the flaxton thrusters, because when he put it all back together, it worked as it should.
