Hi, My convertible soft top (black) semms to be a bullseye lately for bird droppings. Having a hard time getting them completely cleaned off. Any one have any recommendations for cleaners and cleaning methods. Thanks in advance for any help.

First wash and gently brush scrub the top with Awesome (purchased in $ General) cleaner diluted 4 oz. to a 1/2 bucket of water, or use Simple Green. Then spray on a waterproofer sealant such as TFL Protector Water & Stain Repellent, KIWI Aquastop, or Scotchguard Protector. I've used this system for the last 15 years on my 95' 318ic blue top. I just replaced it because of a lousy rear window installation. If it had been done properly the original top would still be on.
