Rob, Enjoyed your presentation at Sharkfest in May. It was fun to have you join us. You wrote recently about trying parallel flow air conditioning condensers of various sizes in your E9. Please let us know your source for these condensers. I am considering something similar in an '88 M6. Jim Schwartz
Hey, Jim. I enjoyed Sharkfest immensely. If I didn't have ten cars, I'd jump at a Polaris and black '79 635CSi. I buy inexpensive Chinese-made condensers on eBay from a variety of sellers. They're about $60, shipped. Like I said, inexpensive. That's why I've been able to buy them, and if they're too large or too small, and if I've damaged them on installation, just buy another. But they are "universal," so mounting brackets need to be fabricated, and there's no guarantee at all that existing hoses will work. and one should assume that they won't. If I recall correctly, there was one source for a direct-replacement parallel flow condenser for the E24 -- that used the same hose connections and mounting brackets, and cost about $300 -- but I recall reading that it's no longer available.
