I've never been one for chrome wheels but I am in need of winter wheels and was offered a great deal on a set of M5 wheels but they are chrome. How does chrome hold up to salty winter Michigan roads?

It probably sucks, but if they're your winter wheels, who cares? As long as they're cheap (and chrome ought to be).

You can use them for a couple winters, but the chrome will likely peel after a while causing sealing issues. We're looking for new wheels as our stock chrome wheels on our other car has resulted in the aforementioned pain in the butt.
