I'm considering swapping out the front pads in my new 535i for something that dusts less. I used Akebono Euro ceramics in my Volvo's with great results. Good performance and low dust. I hear good things about Axxis' new Deluxe Advanced as well, but have never used them. I've looked at most suppliers and none list the 2008 535i. Just curious if anyone has gone to ceramics on a 535i, and if so, what brand/part number. Thanks.
Answered my own question - Axxis does make a low dusting replacement street pad for the 535i/550i - the Axxis Deluxe Advanced. It is a part organic / part ceramic composition pad that is supposed to offer equivalent stopping performance to stock pads with significantly less dust. Found/ordered them at: http://www.zeckhausen.com/axxis_pads.htm The Front pad part number is 63-213-0918; the rears 63-213-0919 I have used Axxis Metal Master pads on previous cars, but not their new Deluxe Advanced composites. I have read good things about them though. They are not, however, for racing / track use.
