I have a 2001 330xi. I tried to start my car about an hour ago and it would stall. It would turn over, start up, splutter for a bit, and stall. If I keep trying to start it, eventually it won't turn over. If I let it sit for a bit, it will revert to turning over, spluttering, and then stalling out. I checked with my Acron OBDII computer and there are no error codes being thrown. Now, last week about twice or so, the car made a weird low, bassy squeaky sort of sound (hard to describe) Each time, the noise only lasted for about a second or two and the noise only occured when the car was started cold (had sat for at least a few hours) This is the first car I've tried to get dirty with and learn from but I still have a lot to learn. I first checked the belts and I *think* they're okay but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. I checked two belts toward the front of the car. Any ideas? Could it in fact be belt-related? Fuel filter or fuel pump, perhaps?
