I have been honored to serve as your National Secretary for the past 2 year term and with your support, I welcome the opportunity to continue in that roll for one more term. As a 35 year club member, I have previously served as the Executive Vice-President and nearly 20 years as the volunteer Oktoberfest Coordinator, as well as a chapter leader in the Sunbelt Chapter.

National Board members are Stewards of the member's resources. We are obligated to utilize those resources efficiently and economically. We are fortunate to benefit from the new level of professionalism in our National Office, which the Board has made possible by providing necessary resources to upgrade and integrate our IT services. Staff hiring is now done on the basis of professional qualifications, rather than family relationships. The utilization of qualified consults is now also the norm. In the current economic times good Stewardship of our financial resources is essential.

As National Secretary, I have drafted revisions to the Bylaws, now ratified by the membership, as we work to conform the Bylaws with current operational demands. I have also handled the revision and updates of our Operations Manual, our policy guidebook, establishing uniform policies now applicable to the Board and the membership for alcoholic beverage expense reimbursements.

As an attorney, I practice before the trial court and appear before the Supreme Court with my appellate practice. Such legal work is very detail oriented and exacting, with accurate preservation of the record of the proceedings as essential regular tasks. The outcome any lawsuit can turn on very specific, critical details. Maintaining such accurate detailed records of our Board Meetings are also required.

I welcome your support and invite you to visit the National website Election Forum to share any questions.
