I have a 2002 540i showing a code for a bad Cam Position Sensor in Bank 2. How many cam sensors do the V8s have...?

Epilogue: Cam Position Sensor Thanks for the response, ND4SPDLSC, as it turned out I did have a cam sensor on each bank. Only I let the local dealer convince me otherwise and just bought the one on the passenger side as shown in the link you gave me. But after I changed it out, I compared the sensor and its part number to a similar one I found on the driver's side. Exactly the same match, so I called the dealer back and he admitted to making the mistake of not noticing that in the schematic. So I made the hour long round trip back to the dealer to pick it up and he gave me a discount (on top of the BMWCCA discount) on the 2nd one, more than enought to pay for my gas. Check engine light has gone out...I'm happy. THANKS AGAIN!
