brake lining warning

    i changed my brakes myself but check brake linings warning and red brakes light is on. how do i reset this.?

    Depends upon what year and model your car is. Might help if you told us. Did you change the pad wear sensors? If not, the light won't go out. If so, with many of the newer ones you just have to leave the key on with the door closed for a minute or so.

    The pad wear sensors probably need replacement, but it might be different for a newer car. I know for a fact that mine will never go out and have to either take out the bulb from my dash or replace the sensors, and I'm definitely not doing the latter.

    IF he replaced the sensors, what I said may work. If not, gotta go back and replace them. The system is different than your E30. The light does not automatically go off like yours would if the circuit was intact.
