I bought a 1995 525i several months back and lifted up the back seat for the first time the other day. Upon removing the seat, I realized my car had a keyless entry / alarm system (picture below) that neither I nor the person who sold me the car knew of or told me about. I didn't get a remote when I bought the car, but now that I know I have the keyless/alarm system, I want to use it. Aside from buying a remote, what else do I need to do to get it working? (All the wiring is already in place and the system looks installed - the anti-theft LED next to my stereo also blinks when the car is off - if that helps)

    Thanks!

It's an Alpine unit that was standard on that car in the U.S. You'll need a three-button rectangular remote, then you take the chip out of the remote and insert it in the control unit so it "learns" the code.
