Hello all, this is my first post on here so I don't know if this is the right place for this. But I own a 2002 530i sport sedan and I recently began collecting all the parts I need for swapping my interior out to be completely black and so far the only piece I'm missing is the front and rear carpet (I think they are 2 separate parts but I might just be thinking of the touring). Just now I saw another 2002 530i at LKQ in Rockford Illinois with the black carpet that I need, only issue is I'm around 1 and a half to 2 hours away from said LKQ. LKQ says that the car has been out in their lot since the 7th of November and the last one I personally looked at was sitting in their lot for only 4-5 days and when I got there someone had deliberately cut out two chunks of the carpet for absolutely no reason, thankfully I was there for other parts and it wasn't a waste of time. So this leads me to the main point if there's anyone that lives in the area of that LKQ or perhaps works in that area would you be able to do me a favor and go take a look at the car and take pictures of the carpet so I don't waste 3-4 hours of my day driving if the carpet happens to be in bad condition, is torn, or is just completely missing from the car? I can reimburse the entry fee to the LKQ if that is an issue. I can take the carpet out of the car myself I just don't want to waste the gas as the carpet is the last thing I need. I am also open to swapping my grey carpet for someone else's black carpet if anyone is willing to do so, my grey carpet is fully intact no rips or anything just has a few minor stains in it from the previous owner. I believe they are coffee or soda stains.
