BMW Diesels to Power Carbon Motors E7

BMW received an order for 240,000 inline six-cylinder diesel engines to power the new Carbon Motors E7 police car. The deal was announced at a news conference in Washington, D.C. by Ian Robertson, BMW's board of management member responsible for sales and marketing, and William Santana Li, CEO of Carbon Motors.

The deal calls for BMW to provide inline six-cylinder diesel engines complete with cooling and exhaust gas system and automatic transmission. The diesel engines are to be manufactured in BMW's Steyr factory.
