I just purchased a 2003 530i and was very interested in the article about Bluetooth capabilities. How I can find out if my car already has this feature in my vehicle or what I would have to do for Bluetooth functionality. I have indicators of hands-free cellular on the steering wheel and on dash near radio controls but not sure how they operate.

My sales person didn't have a clue and there was no manual about the integrated Cellular features.

I suspect I have to buy some optional components - what do I need and where do you get them?

There was no factory option, just a factory retrofit kit, for this car. If you have Bluetooth you would have the ULF module in the trunk (left side near amp) and you could use the voice command button on the MFL.

Otherwise, you have to purchase the MFL, have the car coded for Bluetooth once it's installed, and you're on your way.

    thanks for the respons.

I don't have the UFL module in the trunk so I must need the retro-fit module. Do you know of any aftermarket MFL kits or where to find at the best price?
