I recently listed my M2 on the club classifieds. This morning I received a text message expressing interest in my car and asking for my email. I thought that was odd but giving out an email that I use for specifically e-commerce was harmless enough.

Within an hour or so, I received an email with a lame story asking me to sign up for a CarFax like report at this URL:

    http://revealvin.com/

I have't bothered to visit the site. Do so at your own risk.

I did do a quick search on the URL and found this article:
    https://www.abcactionnews.com/money...rt-scam-targets-people-selling-their-vehicles

I replied to the "interested party" with the link to the article. No reply.

Apparently the scammer has a club membership. Because this is the only car listing site that has my phone number visible, and it is visible only to members, correct?
