Just in case anybody else is ever looking for this info . . . I went with the Apex Racing Parts ARC-8 18x8.5 ET38 wheels with Hankook Ventus R-S3 255/35ZR18 tires all around. Perfect fit, no rubbing or bumping.
As you will see in the March issue, I personally love the RE-11s. . . but the woman who regularly beats me runs the Ventus stickyballs on her M3. (Of course, its V8 may have something to do with it, too...) I'll see you Sunday!
Satch, I have the RE-11s on my S2000, but went with the RS-3s on the BMW because they were cheaper. I missed the Rides of March autocross because I was on our annual ski trip. Maybe I'll see you at the Spring Fling Autocross next Saturday or the Tire Rack Street Survival (I'm volunteering) next Sunday!
Alas, I have to miss that weekend! So here's a tip: When they're taking pictures of you and your winner's plaque, be sure to slip the plastic cover off the plaque!
Yes, I brought this up at the board meeting! The plastic covers will be taken off the plaques before they're awarded!
