Trying to put an automatic transmission back in the 325i after replacing the engine. The front pump gear keeps stripping as the torque converter/trans binds - will turn freely by hand a turn or two, but not when assembled. Is there a technique to mating the trans/torque converter/engine or ??? Any help would be appreciated!
So are you having an issue with the torque converter matching up with the flex plate for bolting together?
When it bolts together it acts like it is too tight and isn't right for the engine. It's like the torque converter isn't going in the trans right or is too tight when bolting up the bell housing to the engine.
