This is my first time logging into the new site - it looks great - but I can't believe that all of the old posts & ensuing dialog were not transferred.

Anybody know if there are plans afoot to bring the old forum posts to the new site?

I think there's a somewhat-less-than-obvious blurb at the top of the forum topics list that they are working on making an archive accessible, or intending to move posts over....

    New site

My first time too. I always read the forums, especially about my model. If it all gets trashed it would be a shame and maybe a good enough reason to bag the membership. I haven't been to the site as I was hoping with a little time it would have all the issues worked out. I guess maybe I will have to wait longer, maybe 4 months will suffice. I would also imagine that the site hit count is way down.

I don't know what site revision we may see, how much, or when (it would be nice to hear what's in the works, though). Steven S has commented he's working on new forums and either making an archive of the previous forums accessible, or possibly it sounds like the plan may be to import them into the new forums. That sounds like a challenge, to say the least, unless the forum topics matched up exactly.

The forum names will be similar to what we had and what's here.

The only thing I may not be able to save are attachments, but I don't think there were that many.

If all goes by plan, avatars and PMs will carry over.

    new site

Yea this really sucks. The club forums are one of the top reasons for joining bmwcca. This will be my last year I think.

I just launched a new website and merged the information from the old one to it, no problems, no loss of information.

I posted a question on the Z3 forum and no response, and I think that I am the only post. Im sure that I could have answered my own question on the old forum.

Hadn't seen your Z question (although I'm not trying to follow everything, either), but made one suggestion to try, just fyi.
