New York Chapter’s Adult Safety School Sunday, October 30th, 2011 8 a.m. sharp! Nassau Coliseum, rain or shine Modeled on the wildly popular Street Survival™ program for teens, the New York Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America is proud to announce an Adult Safety School to be held on Sunday, October 30th, 2011, in Uniondale, New York (Parking Lot 8). Our skilled instructors will teach you in your car in a controlled environment while you find the limits of your vehicle as well as the limits of your own capacity as a driver. Our vehicle handling clinic will teach you to: - Observe the driving habits that you’ve developed over the years and formulate methods to improve them - Learn how to manage the technological distractions that you encounter in your vehicle and on the road - Use exercises incorporating emergency maneuvers, accident avoidance, and skidding in low-traction conditions. - Help you to develop confidence and security rooted in understanding the limits of your vehicle in a safe environment The cost of the full-day program is $75. Every make and model is welcome. Minimum age is 21. Helmets not required.
