Hi to all the BMW lovers. I'm a new member. and i hope someone can help me out with my question on my car. just today got a service engine worning light came on, so i check it out and it said " misfire detected, catalyst damaging cyl. #8 and #7 " can anyone tell me what i need to do??? thanks,,,,,help
Take it to a shop. It is likely that you have bad coils, plugs, or plug connector boots on those cylinders. Very often, the valve cover gaskets leak oil into the plug wells causing them to fill with oil and lose conductivity when hot.
