I have a 2001 740i with 170k miles, and am the second owner. When I purchased the vehicle from a BMW dealership, it had some minor hazing on one window. It now has moderate hazing on all side windows. Is this something I could expect BMW to resolve? If so, what is the procedure/process? If not, is there a source, at reasonable cost, to get replacement windows. At the current rate of hazing, in six months I will have a serious visibility problem.
Thats rough and I have no answers but rather a question... Have you tried anything like these products? http://www.griotsgarage.com/p2p/sea...basic&keyword=glass&sortby=newArrivals&page=1 Or is it way beyond there scope?
My 2001 740i has the 2 paned sandwich side windows, probably a poor description. the coating on the inside of the "sandwich" is what is turning opaque. I have been told it was one of BMW's initial attempts to deaden road noise. Built kind of like a thermopane window in a house.
