So does anyone have any idea how many tickets have been sold so far? How many cars are we up to at this point? Just curious…I'm sure other people are as well…will probably pick up a couple more before the end.
So as we await the results from this year, what cars were raffled off in previous years? Being a member for only a few years, I'm curious about the history of the raffle? Maybe it would make a good article for the magazine (maybe profile some of the owners that have kept their cars for a number of years now...) Just thinking out loud.
The raffle goes back to the earliest days of the club when just one car was awarded annually. In recent years, most "cars" are 3 series with a grand prize of a pricey M car. In fact, very few real cars are given away. Winners choose cash in lieu of a car, one exception was last year when an M3 Individual model with BMWCCA badging went to the grand prize winner. The annual raffle is a money raiser for the club ... and it's fun ... especially if you win.
Better yet, can some nice someone sitting at the banquet please post the winning numbers here as they are read, since there is no live stream and those of us not in the room will want to know!!!!
