I read in another forum that the March 2010 3-series production vehicles will provide better HP due to Efficient Dynamics, and will also have a facelift. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, what exactly does Efficient Dynamics bring? Thanks!
Probably facelift. The E90 was already facelifted for 2009, while the coupe remained pretty much untouched. Somewhere around 2012 is when the "new" 3 series is due.
Thanks for your feedback. So, it looks like now is a good time to get a 2010 3-series 4D sedan. The question now is 328i or 335i, but that's for another thread. Especially because the HPFP issues in the 335i don't affect everyone and nobody knows if they got resolved for the 2010 models.
March 2010 is really 2011... WE have been told by our BMW Regional Market Manager that as of March 2010 all BMW's will be introduced as 2011 models! We have also been told that the new Dual Scroll, Single Turbo motor to be introduced in the new 5 Series Gran Tourismo that has 330hp is a preview of the next 3 Series higher performance (as in 335i now) engine. I'm not sure those spend $3500 for the just introduced Performance Package that adds about 25hp to the 335i will be overly pleased to hear the "new" Dual Scroll" Turbo cars are not only faster and more economical but are the standard engine in a 335i.
