Hi folks, I have a 2008 E70 and was told by the dealer that both the rear axles are leaking grease at the boots. Was quoted Close to $5000 to replace both. Apparently each new BMW axle is close to $1000 each. Does anyone know of cheaper aftermarket possibility or maybe a re-boot & grease kit of some sort. I'm in Northern KY close to Cincinnati, any shop that refurbish them? Thanks
I have seen this before but normally really isn't to big of a issue if its just the small amount coming from the inner boot. I found this site that sells some pretty cheap.
