I am new to the BMW family and to the forums so I am hoping to get some expert advice. My window would not raise up, found out it's the regulator, part number 51338254912. Dealer gave me a price of $240, but online I have found it from $28 to $280 and honestly the pic of the part looks all the same. Is there something else I need or is it possible that a window regulator can be as cheap as $28?
MSRP is $218.05 You should be able to find a dealer that offers at least 20% off. $28 is a mistake. You may be able to find knockoff parts cheaper.
Yes do not go with the super cheap one look around like mentioned you can find aftermarket parts. Also most dealers give a discount for CCA members.
This is the part number on ebay and the price http://www.amazon.com/autopartsln-51338254912-Window-Regulator-Without-Passenger/dp/B00KQSAB1E I just want to know is this the right part?
Use the last numbers of your VIN, or note the production month & date off the VIN plate on your door, and you can look up the part on realoem.com ; Also, you can do a part # search on realoem.com & confirm if it's the right part number for your model.
