I have had my Z3 for 3 years and maybe put just over 7k miles on new tires and noticed the tread wear on the outside of the tread pattern on the front tires is noticeable. Looks like a camber issue. The rear tires are like new. I've got a manual but thought I would ask here about this unusual wear. Talked to a friend and he seems to think the struts may be going out. My mileage is 39,850.miles. Any insights would be appreciated.

I'm no expert, but I don't see how a strut would cause the problem.
Unless you want to buy new tires, I'd have them flipped so the worn side is inside and have them aligned.

Yes recommend doing a alignment. Worn out struts normally will cause a cupping issue to the tires. Most likely you have toe issue that can be corrected with a proper alignment.
