New to the forum and just acquired a wonderful 1999 Z3 M Coupe - Imola Red/Black I wanted to get some feedback if anyone has integrated an oil cooler into their Z3 as the 99 does not come with one? Additionally, has anyone added an oil catch can and if so, what brand or recommendations? The reason for my question is that I will be tracking it and wanted some upgrades with some guidance from other who track. In advance, thank you for your replies and support. Juan
Turner makes a kit for the e36 euro conversion to use the euro oil cooler and housing. https://www.turnermotorsport.com/c-195-bmw-oil-cooler-kits-and-oil-cooler-components Any reason you are wanting a oil catch can? Are you running forced induction at all?
Not running any forced induction. But, I like the idea of keeping the intakes as clean as possible from any ignition blow by. Great referral on the e36 euro conversion oil cooler. Thanks so much.
If your not running forced induction I wouldn't worry to much about oil blow by just make sure the oil separator works well and you should be fine.
