I've owned my 8 since 2017 and have had many great miles of getting to experience this very cool car.
I believe the engine has many more miles as does the chassie. The auto trans is a zf 5hp-24 paired to the m62 4.4l v8 may be prone to early failure though.
I ordered a used replacement from Quality Used Transmissions (used them before with good result).
Unfortunately, the 5hp-30 was discontinued for the 840 in 1996 replaced with the shorter 24.
I will have the mechatronics module upgraded with the pressure control valve from Sonnex.
Any body have anything to add that may help with improving the 24 prior to install?
