1986 735 I air vents

    Any advise on why air vents send most of the air to defrost vents and a small amount to floor. All is working well on A/C except the vants changing

    Theres a vacuum solenoid that operates a vent flap for each side of the system.
    Under the console there are a series of vacuum switches that control the various
    functions. Chances are one of those components is faulty or a vacuum control line is broken or off. You can test the function of the vacuum solenoid with a hand operated vacuum pump (same one as used to bleed the brake system, can purchase it from autozone for about $30) I had a lot of problems with various gremlins in both of my 733's, it was a chore to keep everything needed working.
    I'm assuming the 733 and 735 are quite similar.
