Hey guys, hopefully i'm posting this in the right section of the forum. I noticed earlier today that my E92 will randomly rev to 1000 RPM momentarily when stopped and will then return to 500 RPM. Anybody have any ideas on what this is?
Could be many things causing this. Since it is random could be a leaking eccentric shaft sensor causing a mis reading. Could be a adaptation issue that will need to clear adaptations and driven to relearn the adaptations to see if that helps. Engine control unit could be commanding this for some reason. I would start with adaptations and check the eccentric sensor for leaking oil through it pins first.
