I have 2001 325i sedan. I took the vehicle into my local BMW shop to have them repair whatever the issue that is causing the seat belt light to stay on. They replace the seat belt sensors twice. The light functions for several days then it is back on. Does anyone have some insight that can resolve this problem I would greatly appreciate your help.
Sounds like you might be having a wiring issue from the seat belt switch to the seat connector. I would recommend replacing the wiring between these two with pins. I have seen quite a few issues with older BMW's and seat wiring breaking down over time. And this is a cheap repair. I think BMW had a old SIB for this repair the SIB number is 72 03 00.
