I have a 1997 M3 (12/96 production date, S52) and I'm trying to replace the bowden cable to my cruise control. I ordered part no. 65 71 2 228 748 which should fit this car. I received the cable and it has a brass sleeve (about 6 cm) on the end that is connected to the throttle body. My old cable did not have this and was simple a cable with a barrel on the end that fit into the slot on the throttle body so that it could wrap around the cam and return to the cruise control unit on the fender.
Does anybody know if there is a different part number that may fit? Thanks in advance for any help.
