Hi all, I recently purchased an E46 M3 that I'm currently doing what I would call a 'light restoration' on and I was wondering if there are any options for me to get any service records or recall completed records that have been completed on this car? Not sure if my local dealer will willingly help or not? I know its a longshot since the car is a 2003 but I'm hoping someone can lead me in the right direction. Thanks, Marc
I would of course ask you dealer for any records they have. They will also be able to give you something called a DCS which is a report on the vehicle of all claims warranty that BMW has, so this will be repairs from the cars factory warranty and any recalls that were done or are still open. This will not give you any info on anything after the warranty period since BMW doesn't keep track of that stuff it's up to the vehicles owner.
