Hello All! Well, I was driving the M3 this morning and it ran great. Parked it at the store, went shopping and returned about an hour later. Jumped in cranked it up and got DSC error over the onboard screen along with a reduced engine power and on the dash I had a "brake" and triangle icon appear on the left side of the dash area + and an emissions symbol/picture in the lower center of the dash that is controlled by the stalk on the turn signal. Engine power was reduced and my rpm was 3,500 max as indicated by the LED's above the tachometer on dash. I have an OBD II reader by Innova but it does't read all the BMW codes. The code that appeared was: U011E or V011E. I changed the evaporative Bosch pump located above the driver's rear tire inside the wheel well area and new gas cap at the same time. Found a site where you can plug in the error code and get an answer; U011E = Definition of check engine code U011E: Generic Lost communication with electronic throttle system (ETS) control module B **Ok, what's my next step to get the full power back to my beloved S65 BMW M3??!!! Sounding like throttle actuator issues. Had to "limp" it home on the California highway 15 South this afternoon....on a Friday! No fun! Which cylinder bank does "control module B" cover? Right Hand Bank(cylinders 1,2, 3, 4) or Left Hand Bank(cylinders 5, 6, 7, 8)? Thank You, John

Now, I was searching an M3 blog and found out that this guy took his M3 to a dealership and found out BMW has extended the limited warranty for replacement of the throttle actuators for 10 years or 120,000 miles. He took a picture of the notice the BME Service Department ran and it looks real. I tried looking this up on the web but I guess BMWNA might be keeping this one in their back pockets as I am sure this could be a very expensive campaign. My M3 is nearing 115,000 and is a 2008 so I'm good as far as the 10/120 goes. My car came out of Texas used but has been registered in California since March 2015. Maybe someone out there that works for BMW could help me out with the details.
