in addition to ATF, Mike Miller of Roudel's TechTalk recommends RedLine Power Steering fluid for E30s... I have a quart you can have for free if you want (I bought it when I had an E30...)

I guess the quart is up for grabs. The shipping may be more than the actual item if you buy it locally :)

    free oil

yup but I was thinking the cheapest shipping may work out; and I would feel better not wasting a quart of good red line...

Darn. I'm at the very opposite of the country. How much does a quart of that stuff go for? If it's more than shipping then I'm still game. :D

Thanks for responding. I've already added ATF and the steering is much improved.

    cost of oil...

    redline sells it for $9.49:

I usually buy my red line products directly from Red Line...

I also have an new extra quart of 75W-90 final drive fluid - recommended by Mike for all BMW final drives but M differentials (LSD and not LSD) - since I just took delivery of my MZ4, I can't use this type of oil anymore...

i don't know yet what the post office will charge to mail it. what is you zip code?
